No matter what time of the year you visit Cape Cod and the Falmouth Inn, there’s always something fun to do.

Shining Sea Bikeway

Winding along the Vineyard Sound shoreline, the Shining Sea Bikeway is a 10-mile trail extending from Falmouth to Woods Hole to North Falmouth. The relatively flat grade is perfect for beginner and casual cyclists, who will enjoy a wonderful ride past scenic Sippewissett Marsh cranberry bogs, Chapaquoit Beach and the Salt Pond Bird Sanctuary.

Island Queen Ferry

With daily departures, the Island Queen Ferry offers service from Falmouth to Cape Cod. Enjoy a scenic 35-minute cruise across the waters of Vineyard Sound.

Nobska Point Lighthouse

Built in 1828, this lighthouse protected boats cruising Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay. The former lighthouse keeper’s home now serves as the residence of a U.S. Coast Guard commander, but the scenic four-acre grounds are open to the public and the tower offers tours on a few select days each year.

Old Silver Beach

With its crystal clear waters, a great sand bar for the kids and ample parking, this small beach is ideal for families. It’s consistently ranked among the top five beaches in Massachusetts.

Spohr Gardens

Enjoy a relaxing stroll through this tranquil six-acre woodland garden on Oyster Pond. Explore winding paths lined by azaleas, rhododendrons and daylilies, as you view the many nautical treasures and artifacts collected by Falmouth natives Charles and Margaret Spohr.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

Visit the “WHOI’s” Exhibit Center to learn about the Institution's ocean science research and the vessels and tools developed by engineers and scientists for use in that research. During the summer, walking tours of the dock and other restricted areas are offered.

Connamaessett Farm

This 20-acre working farm and research center welcomes visitors to pick their own crops, visit with the animals, browse the farm stands and gift shop or enjoy a quiet lunch under a shady pavilion.

Falmouth Heights Beach

This sandy beach offers great views of Martha’s Vineyard and gentle surf perfect for children. There are restaurants and concessions stands across the street and park benches and a grassy area overlooking the beach for picnics.

St. Barnabas Memorial Church

Built in 1889, St. Barnabas Memorial Church features a lovely English village-style campus, magnificent architecture and a quiet Memorial Garden.

Woods Hole Historical Museum

Created to preserve and explore the history of Woods Hole, this lively, small museum features changing exhibits, programs and workshops examining subjects like the Woods Hole whaling industry in the 1860’s, early boat design, local agricultural history and more.

Cape Cod Winery

Run by the Orlandella family of San Sossio Baronia, Italy, since its founding in 1994, this winery uses European wine grape varieties chosen specifically for the local soil conditions. Nurtured by the Cape Cod sun, soil and climate, each wine captures the essence of the Cape. Tours and tastings are offered seasonally.
